Police officers in south Auckland investigating a car fire have found a body inside the vehicle.
Emergency services were called to a Chapel Rd address in Flat Bush just after 8pm on Saturday.
"A body was located inside the vehicle," police said in a statement on Sunday morning.
"Cordons will remain in place this morning while the scene is examined."
The statement said an investigation is underway and a scene examination will take place on Sunday.
