A person's body has been discovered in a pond in a north Auckland suburb on Tuesday.
Emergency services are responding to the incident near Hugh Green Dr in Pinehill.
A police spokesperson said they were called shortly after 11:45am to reports of a sudden death.
"Police are making a number of enquiries to establish the circumstances."
The spokesperson said they are still in the "very early stages" of their inquiries.
St John confirmed they were called at 11:40am and one ambulance and one manager responded to the scene.
