The Director-General of Health and Head of Managed Isolation and Quarantine Brigadier Jim Bliss will provide an update on New Zealand's COVID-19 response.
Dr Ashley Bloomfield and Jim Bliss are scheduled to speak to media from the Ministry of Health's Wellington headquarters at 1pm on Friday afternoon.
The press conference comes after COVID-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins revealed border workers who refused to get the coronavirus vaccine would be removed from frontline jobs.
