A 4.7 magnitude earthquake has struck near Gisborne.
GeoNet says the 'moderate' quake hit 25km south of Gisborne at 2.12pm, at a depth of 31km.
More than 1000 people have already recorded feeling the quake, from Wellington to Warkworth in Auckland.
The majority of people describe the shake as 'weak'.
