A car has smashed into a building in east Auckland, critically injuring one person.
Police are on the scene of the crash on Gossamer Drive in Pakuranga, which occurred just after 7am.
A spokesperson says two cars collided and one careened off and struck a building. No serious damage has been reported at this stage, but motorists are urged to avoid the area where possible.
Gossamer Drive will be closed between Portadown Avenue and Larne Ave, and the Serious Crash Unit will attend the scene.
