Police have released the name of a man who was found dead in a car in Flat Bush, Auckland on Saturday evening.
He was Kunal Khera, 26, of Manukau.
Detective senior sergeant Natalie Nelson said Khera's family in India have been notified and police are supporting them.
"Our deepest thoughts and sympathies are with them at this difficult time," senior sergeant Nelson said.
Police are still treating the death as unexplained and continuing to make enquiries into the circumstances around his death.
Around 8pm on Saturday, police were called to investigate a burning car and found Khera's body inside.
