Police name woman found dead at Pukekohe property

The woman who was found dead at a Pukekohe, Auckland, address on Wednesday morning has been named.

Police identified her as Toakase Finau, 29, of Māngere.

The woman was found dead shortly after 9am on Wednesday.

Police attended the McNally Road property to conduct a bail check.

At the address, they located a man with critical injuries and later, found the body of a woman.

"Our team are continuing to investigate the circumstances of Toakase's death and we are providing her whānau with the support we can at this difficult time," a police spokesperson said.

"Our scene examination at the property remains ongoing at this stage."

The man who was taken to Middlemore Hospital with injuries remains in a critical condition.
