It is being referred to as a "sudden death incident".

Auckland Transport says:

  • On the southern line, services are cancelled between Otahuhu and Pukekohe and will run at a 20 minute frequency between Britomart and Otahuhu
  • On the east line, services are running to Manukau but at a 20 minute frequency.
  • Rail buses are now running between Papakura and Pukekohe
  • On the west and ONE lines, there are delays and cancellations.
