Watch: Police ask public for help in identifying Waitangi Day dirt bike riders

Police are seeking help from the public in identifying three dirt bike riders who took on Auckland's roads during Waitangi Day.

A large group of motorcyclists was seen hooning dangerously through the city's streets and motorways, doing wheelies and dangerous maneuvers - often without a helmet.

Counties Manukau Police posted a video on Facebook asking the public to get in touch if anyone recognised the three males caught on camera.

The first male had bandages on his left leg and appears to have a full sleeve tattoo on his left arm.

The next rider wore a black North Face vest and wore distinctive red Nike shoes.

The third rider has a distinctive Killer Beez tattoo on his back.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police on 105 and quote the operation name 'Whakatiwai'.
