A woman who fell out of a moving car in Auckland at the weekend has died in hospital.
Police announced the death on Monday morning, after she was initially rushed to Middlemore Hospital in a critical condition on Saturday.
Police and emergency services were called to Rimu Rd in Māngere Bridge at around midday.
According to police, the woman fell from the passenger's side of the vehicle, where children were also present.
Three St John ambulances attended the scene.
Police are still unclear as to how the incident happened, but say they are speaking to a number of witnesses as the investigation continues.
