Funding boost for new war museum to commemorate Kiwi soldiers who liberated French town

A new museum will be built commemorating Kiwi soldiers who fought in France during World War One. 

Le Quesnoy will be home to this important tribute and visitor centre.

The New Zealand Memorial Museum Trust (NZMMT) headed up by Sir Don McKinnon will commemorate Kiwi soldiers in World War One who liberated the town from German occupation.

Sir Don McKinnon spoke to The AM Show.
