A large scrub fire has broken out in the Auckland suburb of Parnell.
Fire and Emergency were called to the blaze by the Rose Gardens just after 5pm on Sunday. There are 24 firefighters and six fire engines at the scene on Gladstone Rd.
Photos and videos posted to social media show a steady stream of thick smoke pouring into the sky and billowing across the harbour.
One Twitter user says the blaze is being "well-fought" on all sides by crews.
