A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead at a Wellington address on Saturday night.
Officers were called to the Brooklyn Rd address in the suburb of Mt Cook in Wellington at about 6:30pm.
Police said in an update on Sunday morning a 42-year-old had man had since been arrested and subsequently charged with murder.
"He is expected to appear in Wellington District Court tomorrow, Monday April 26," said a police statement.
An investigation into the death is continuing, police said.
