Police are investigating after an aggravated robbery at a restaurant in the Wellington suburb of Miramar.
They received a report at 11.50pm on Friday, that an offender had entered a Devonshire Road restaurant and assaulted a staff member - before fleeing the scene with cash stolen from the till.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A police spokesperson said a forensic scene examination took place yesterday, and officers are following a number of leads.
