Two gang members and an associate are facing drugs charges after being pulled over in possession of methamphetamine and cash.

Police executed search warrants in Hamilton and other locations around Waikato on Wednesday, they revealed on Saturday.

They also stopped a vehicle north of Huntly, finding half a kilogram of meth and $10,000 in cash.

Two Hamilton members of the Mongrel Mob, aged 40 and 50, and a 53-year-old associate from Tirau, face possession of methamphetamine for supply and other charges.

"Stopping its distribution will reduce harm not only to those that have already been exposed to the harmful effects of this destructive drug, but those who may never have been exposed to it before," said Det Snr Sgt Stephen Ambler.

We want to send a clear message that such criminal activity won’t be tolerated and police are committed to stamping out the distribution of methamphetamine and the detrimental impact it has on all communities."
