A child has been hospitalised after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run in Hamilton.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Aurora Tce, Hillcrest about 4:15pm on Monday, police said.
The child was taken to hospital, where they remained overnight.
"Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or who witnessed the incident," police said. "We are also seeking sightings of the vehicle involved, a black Honda hatchback with gold trim."
An investigation is underway and anyone with information is urged to contact 105, quoting event number P046537477.
