Officials have provided an update on the stabbing rampage at a Dunedin supermarket after the alleged attacker made his first court appearance.
The attack, which happened at the Countdown on Cumberland St, took place just before 3pm on Monday.
Southern District Commander Supt Paul Basham and Southern District Health Board emergency department clinical director Rich Stephenson spoke to media at the Dunedin police station.
