One person injured after car drives through window of pharmacy in Christchurch

A car has ploughed through the front window of a pharmacy in Christchurch, leaving one person injured. 

Emergency services were notified of the crash at the Unichem Riccarton pharmacy just after 4pm on Tuesday.

Fire and Emergency told Newshub they have been checking the condition of the pharmacy building on Yaldhurst Rd before working to remove the car.

A spokesperson says they have rescued one person. St John says the person was taken to Christchurch Hospital with minor injuries.
