A slew of aggravated robberies across Christchurch has spurred police to ask the public for help identifying those responsible.

Detective Sergeant Elliot Western said on Wednesday three robberies took place across Christchurch since Saturday.

Four offenders are thought to have stolen a car and then targeted liquor stores in Wigram and Sockburn on Saturday night.

They stole alcohol, cigarettes and cash.

The stolen vehicle was found abandoned later the same evening in Waikuku.

Police believe the same four men are linked to another robbery at a dairy in Halswell on Monday morning - and say they think a second car was stolen to carry out this crime.

Both vehicles have been forensically assessed.

Police say they are "concerned" over the use of violence and possession of weapons during all three robberies.

Although the victims did not require medical attention at the time they have all been offered support due to the "extremely traumatic experience".

Police are reviewing CCTV footage and making a number of inquiries to find those responsible and are urging anyone with further information to call them on 105 and quote file number 210515/7255.
