One person has been seriously injured in a crash on Auckland's Southern Motorway on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the northbound side of the motorway near the Panama Rd overbridge at about 12:40pm on Saturday. Three fire appliances and 12 firefighters attended the scene.
There, they found a car had crashed into a truck, initially trapping the occupants of the car inside.
St John says there were three people injured - one in a minor condition, one moderate and one serious.
The moderately and seriously injured patients were taken to Middlemore Hospital.
