Parents urged to get help from family, friends as advocate says support services failing

A mental health advocate is urging struggling parents to reach out to family and friends because mental health support is hard for parents to get in New Zealand.

Neuroscience educator Nathan Wallis spoke to The AM Show about how services are lacking and he can't see where the Government's funding is being spent.

He said it was particularly worrying during the COVID-19 pandemic where Kiwis have spent more time than ever in isolation.
