A person has died after their car crashed into a tree in Canterbury.
Police say the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was travelling on Windwhistle Rd (State Highway 77) on Sunday when the collision happened at around 2:45pm.
The road remains closed and traffic is being diverted where possible, police say.
Motorists are asked by police to delay travel where they can, or expect delays.
