Police are seeking help after a woman was reportedly seriously assaulted in Motueka early on Sunday morning.
As the woman was walking home somewhere between High Street and Thorp Street or between Greenwood and Tudor Streets between 2 and 3am, she was allegedly attacked.
"Detectives are particularly interested in the area in or around Wilkinson Street to Ledger Avenue, Goodman Drive and Ledger - Goodman Park," a police spokesman says.
"Should anyone find a pair of dark tights, red socks and cell phone, or heard or saw something of concern around that time please call 105 and quote the file number 210704/5199."
