The police dive squad will resume its search on Sunday for the driver of a vehicle that was found submerged in a Canterbury canal.
Emergency services were called to the crash in Methven on Saturday after the car went into the water at Pudding Hill Rd Bridge.
Police said the body of the passenger has been recovered, however, the driver is still unaccounted for.
A search for the driver will resume at first light, police said.
