A homicide investigation has been launched following the death of a 72-year-old man in the Auckland suburb of Favona Tuesday evening.
A post mortem has been carried out today and the police are notifying his next of kin.
The police are speaking with a man who is assisting their enquiries and they are not looking for anyone else.
Detective Senior Sergeant Tom Gollan from Counties Manukau Police said police were currently speaking with a man who was assisting their enquiries.
