A person's body was found on Wednesday in a car parked in a Christchurch suburb, police say.
Emergency services came across the car about 2am, on Northcroft St in the suburb of Hoon Hay.
"The driver was located deceased and appears to have had a medical event," a police spokeswoman said.
Police said it wasn't being treated as suspicious.
"The death will be referred to the coroner," the spokeswoman said.
