Police name man who died after being dropped off at Auckland medical centre as Rangiwhero Toia Ngaronoa

A man who died after being left a Takanini medical centre last month has been named.

Police said he was Rangiwhero Toia Ngaronoa, 22, from Gisborne.

Ngaronoa was dropped at the centre with critical injuries on 21 November and immediately taken to Middlemore Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Police said they were making good progress with their homicide investigation, having spoken to the people who took Ngaronoa to the medical centre and his wider whānau.

Their inquiries are ongoing.
