Two people have died after a truck and car collided in the south Auckland suburb of Favona on Saturday night.
Emergency services and St John Ambulance were called to the serious crash on Savill Dr at around 9:10pm.
Earlier, police asked motorists to avoid the area. Traffic management remained in place as of 11pm.
"Motorists are asked to take alternative routes," a police spokesperson said.
