Coronavirus: Three central Auckland nightclubs listed as 'close contact' locations of interest

Three central Auckland nightclubs have been listed as COVID-19 'close contact' locations of interest.

The Ministry of Health listed the affected locations and times as follows:

  • Family Bar and Club Auckland CBD (270 Karangahape Road) Saturday 15 January 9.30pm to Sunday 16 January 12am
  • Longroom Nightclub Grey Lynn (114 Ponsonby Road) Saturday 15 January 7pm to 9pm
  • AV Club Auckland CBD (38 Customs Street East) Friday 14 January 6pm to Saturday 15 January 5am

The ministry advises people who there at those times to self-isolate, test immediately and test again on day five after exposure at the location of interest.

Further isolation and testing requirements will be provided your results emerge. You should also record your visit online or call Healthline so contact tracers can get in touch.

Meanwhile, the Ara-Tai Cafe in the suburb of Half Moon Bay has also been listed as a close contact location of interest for customers seated inside on 18 January, between 12.30pm and 2pm.

The same advice as above applies if you were seated inside, the ministry said.
