The collapse of a shop awning in a Waikato town on Friday luckily resulted in no injuries, it's been confirmed.
The awning, which overhangs two Tūākau shops - the Five Star Dairy and the Fish Shop on George St - fell just before midday, police say.
Police said there are no reports of any injures at this time and were attending the scene to assist other emergency services.
Next to the shops, the Barfoot & Thompson awning was luckily still intact.
Newshub called Barfoot & Thompson Tūākau, but they did not answer.
