Police are investigating a serious assault that occurred in the Auckland suburb of Devonport on Tuesday evening.
The assault happened at around 8:30pm in Stanley Bay Park.
Detective Senior Sergeant Nicholas Poland said in a statement police are seeking information from anyone in the area at the time, in particular those walking on local tracks or playing tennis at the Ngataringa Tennis Club.
