Eight people injured in crash in Little River near Christchurch

Emergency services have been called to a crash injuring eight people in the Canterbury town of Little River.

In a statement to Newshub, St John said they were called to a single-vehicle crash on the Christchurch-Akaroa Road.

A spokesperson said three ambulances, one manager and one first response unit responded to the scene, treating eight patients whose conditions range from moderate to minor.

The spokesperson said St John has transported one patient in a moderate condition to Christchurch Hospital.

Police and Fire and Emergency also attended the scene.

A police spokesperson said no road blockages were reported.
