A person has died "suddenly" at a property in the Kāpiti Coast, where anti-mandate protesters from the Parliament occupation are reportedly staying.

Photos published on the Stuff website show a number of emergency responders on a property with a large number of campervans and protest signs.

Police, Fire and Emergency and Wellington Free Ambulance were at the scene on Friday morning.

A police spokesperson confirmed police are in attendance at a sudden death on Peka Peka Road.

Police say there is nothing to suggest anything suspicious had taken place.

Protesters have occupied other areas around Wellington after the 23-day protest at Parliament was shut down by police.

A number of protesters have set up camp in Shelly Bay and Remutaka Forest Park, while others planned to descend Wainuiomata Marae last week.
