Multiple aircraft attempting to land at Wellington airport are having to divert to Palmerston North.
Wellington Airport says twelve Air New Zealand arriving flights have been diverted and 16 Air New Zealand depatures have been cancelled.
Foggy conditions in the capital city mean there is low visibility for incoming planes.
