The ram-raid occurred at the Vodafone store and Bottle-O shop on Walters Road in Takanini, which is in the same shopping complex.

"The offenders fled the scene in a second vehicle. This vehicle was located a short time later at a Clendon Park address," a police spokesperson said.

Police said three males were located nearby and two were taken into custody as they had existing warrants to arrest.

"Enquiries are ongoing to determine if these males are linked to the burglary but no charges have been laid at this stage," a police spokesperson said.

Newshub understands it's the second time in three weeks the Bottle-O shop has been hit, costing the owner thousands of dollars.

It comes after four people were arrested following a burglary and fleeing driver incident at an Auckland electronics store on Monday morning.

The four thieves burgled a Noel Leeming store in Silverdale before fleeing in a vehicle, driving the wrong way on an Auckland motorway and smashing into a police car.

A Kingsland dairy was also ram raided on Monday morning, with photos showing the entrance to the store smashed in leaving glass shattered.
