Fiancée of Kiwi cameraman Joseph Day shares heartbreaking tribute

The fiancée of a Kiwi found dead in the UK has shared a heartbreaking tribute to her late "soulmate".

Joseph Day, 31, a former TVNZ camera operator, had been missing from his home in Bristol since Saturday evening (local time), which friends and family said was out of character.

On Wednesday, UK Police confirmed a body was found in Bristol's Avon Gorge, and while formal identification is yet to take place, Day's family have been updated.

Day's partner, Kelsey Mulcahy, reported his disappearance to police and appealed for help on Facebook.

Now she has taken to Facebook to share a touching message to Day.

"My dude, my guy, my soulmate, my Joseph. Empathetic, creative, funny, generous, humble, kind, clever, protective, gentle," Mulcahy wrote.

"The most handsome guy in every room by a mile. The most beautiful heart and goofy laugh and smile. Committed to becoming a better version of yourself every single day.

"No one could understand how we feel about each other. No one understands that behind closed doors you are only even more wonderful.

"Changed my life forever, no one could ever compare. You made me love myself again.

"Would take a lifetime of this agony for just one more day with you. I love you I love you I love you. I’ll never stop.

"Mrs Day in my heart forever. Wait for me."

The couple was planning on returning to New Zealand to tie the knot at the end of this year.

A Givealittle page, which was set up on Wednesday, has already raised more than $100,000 at the time of writing.

"The money raised will be used to support Joe and Kelsey's family in their efforts in the open investigation, journey to Bristol, and costs related to bringing him home to rest in Aotearoa, New Zealand," page creator Hayley Cashmore said, who is a close friend of Day.

"We are completely overwhelmed by everyone's generosity and outpour of support."
