A body has been found on a south Auckland street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police said emergency services responded to an incident in Favona at about 3:30am on Sunday after a body of a man was located on Wakefield Rd.
"Enquiries are underway to establish how the man died, this includes speaking to witnesses in the area at the time," a police spokesperson told Newshub.
The spokesperson said the man's identity is not yet known.
St John told Newshub it was notified of a motor vehicle incident on Sunday morning and sent one ambulance to the scene.
At the time of publishing, Wakefield Rd was closed while a scene examination was being carried out.
