Multiple helicopters were sent to transport two people to the hospital after a jet boating incident in Otago.
The Rescue Coordination Centre said it was alerted to an incident involving a private jet boat on the Dart River near Glenorchy after a personal locator beacon was activated at about 11:45am.
Two rescue helicopters were sent from Te Anau and Dunedin.
A St John spokesperson said two people sustained moderate injuries. One was being airlifted to Southland Hospital and the other to Queenstown Lakes District Hospital.
