At least one car is on fire after a crash involving multiple vehicles on a busy Auckland motorway.
Waka Kotahi NZTA said the crash is blocking all northbound lanes on State Highway 20 after the Massey Rd off-ramp in Māngere.
They said this section of SH20 is closed and there are delays in both directions on the motorway.
Both NZTA and police warn there are delays and to consider using an alternative route.
Police said there are indications people could have serious injuries.
"Motorists are advised to be patient as traffic management is put in place," a police spokesperson said.
