Multiple cars and stores have been completely destroyed in overnight ram-raids and a 'boy racer' crash in the North Island.

A dairy and clothing store were the targets of two ram-raids, as the country grapples with a spate of crime.

There was smashed glass surrounding a Mount Eden dairy after a car reversed through its storefront, damaging the entire store entrance.

Footage shows the car being towed out of the store and the extent of the ruins left behind.

A police spokesperson said at around 3am this morning a vehicle was used to gain entry to a Sandringham dairy.

Police said four youths entered the store and left in a second car. They said it doesn't appear that the offenders took anything from the store.

About 15 minutes later, police said the second car was seen by officers travelling at high speed on Dominion Road.

The vehicle was signalled to pull over but failed to stop.

Police said they did not pursue the vehicle, but a short time later staff came across the car, which had crashed into a barrier at the intersection with George Street.

Graphic footage shows a white car's front wrecked and one of the side doors lying on the ground.

Police said six youths ran from the vehicle and two were apprehended at the scene.

The other four offenders were found 10 minutes later a short distance away in Onslow Road.

Several other youths were also involved in another crash in South Auckland overnight.

Footage shows emergency services attending to the scene, pulling one person out of the car and onto a stretcher where they are transported to the hospital.

Another white car was shown completely wrecked with doors missing.

A police spokesperson said they were notified of a single-vehicle collision on Allens Road at 11:46pm.

The NZ Herald reported that police told them the youths were a part of a "boy racer group".

Police said one person was taken to hospital with serious injuries and three others had a range of moderate-minor injuries.

Ram-raid in Whangārei

A Katmandu store was ram-raided in Whangārei overnight.

Police said they were called to the store on James Street at 10:22pm following a report of a burglary.

A police spokesperson said a group of offenders drove a vehicle through the front doors of the store to gain entry. The group then left in a second vehicle with items from the store.

Police later found the second vehicle abandoned.

Police are investigating the incident and are trying to identify and locate those involved.
