COVID-19 cases have dropped for the third consecutive day with 4402 new infections, the Ministry of Health revealed.
Another nine people have died with COVID-19 on Sunday taking the country's virus death toll to 1320.
Hospitalisations increased to 354 while there are eight people in ICU.
The seven-day rolling average of community case numbers decreased to 5919 – last Sunday, it was 6779.

Today we are reporting 4,402 community cases, 354 current hospitalisations, and nine deaths.

COVID-19 deaths
Today we are sadly reporting the deaths of nine people with COVID-19. All these people died within in the past seven days.
Today’s reported deaths take the total number of publicly reported deaths with COVID-19 to 1,320 and the seven-day rolling average of reported deaths is 13.
Of the people whose deaths we are reporting today; one was from Northland, three were from the Auckland region, two were from the Wellington region; two were from Canterbury; and one was from Southern.
One person was in their 60s; three were in their 70s; four were in their 80s; and one was aged over 90. Of these people, three were women and six were men.
This is a very sad time for whānau and friends and our thoughts and condolences are with them. Out of respect, we will be making no further comment on these deaths.

12:45pm - China's capital Beijing is experiencing an "explosive" COVID-19 outbreak connected to a bar, a government spokesman said on Saturday, as the commercial hub, Shanghai, conducted mass testing to contain a jump in cases tied to a hair salon.
The warning followed a new tightening of COVID-19 curbs in Beijing since Thursday, with at least two districts closing some entertainment venues after a flare-up in a neighbourhood full of nightlife, shopping and embassies.
While China's infection rate is low by global standards, it maintains a zero-COVID-19 policy, citing the need to protect the elderly and the medical system, even as other countries try to live with the virus.
So far, the country of 1.4 billion has reported just 5226 deaths from COVID-19.
