There are 4429 new community cases of COVID-19 in New Zealand on Sunday and another six deaths have been reported by the Ministry of Health.
New Zealand's COVID-19 death toll stands at 1461.
COVID-19 hospitalisations have risen to 332 - up from 300 on Thursday. Seven people were in intensive care on Sunday.
"The seven-day rolling average of community case numbers today is 4911 - last Sunday it was 4991," the ministry said in a statement.
Overall, New Zealand has reported just over 1.3 million COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began.
