Four men arrested after aggravated robbery at Royal Oak Shopping Mall jewellery store

Four men have been arrested after a smash and grab at a jewellery store in an Auckland Mall.

Photos from the scene show shattered glass covering the store and empty shelves following the aggravated robbery on Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to the Royal Oak Shopping Mall at 3:15pm after three male offenders entered the store, smashed glass cabinets and took the contents inside.

"They fled the scene in a vehicle driven by an accomplice," said a police spokesperson. 

The spokesperson said in a statement to Newshub that at 5pm police received reports of one male in Mt Eden attempting to sell jewellery items at a commercial premises. 

"Four males have been arrested and will be due to appear in court tomorrow."
