Police seek 'urgent' public assistance identifying offender involved in Glenfield Mall aggravated robbery

Waitematä Police have launched an investigation into an aggravated robbery at a business in Glenfield Mall, and are now seeking urgent assistance to identify the offender. 

CCTV pictures shared by police on Facebook show the offender covered in dark clothing from head to toe, while also covering their face. 

The pictures show what looks like a knife or a sharp object held by the offender while their other hand is on someone's back. 

The robbery took place at 11:30am on Saturday. 

"We understand this would have been frightening for the members of the public who witnessed this event," police said on Facebook.

Police reassured the community that they take incidents like these "incredibly seriously" and are committed to holding those responsible to account.

"If you recognise any identifying features about the person in these images, we ask you to get in touch with us immediately."

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the robbery or has any information about the incident to come forward and contact police on 105, use reference file number 220716/9306.
