Pro-choice Kiwis plan to march on the United States Consulate following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v Wade.

On July 16th, Pro-choice protesters will march from Aotea Square in Auckland to the US Consulate, and organisers are urging people to turn up.

NZ Pro-choice spokesperson Poppy Beguely said protesters will stand in solidarity with those who have lost their right to control their own bodies.

"Many people will have their lives altered, ruined, or even lost due to the US Supreme Court decision," she said.

"Abortion is necessary healthcare, yet there are states that have already banned them. We cannot leave anyone behind, reproductive choice is a human right."

Beguely urged those who aren't immediately impacted by the Supreme Court's decision to rally behind those who are.

"All genders are welcome, and it is crucial men show up in support of their mothers, daughter, sisters, and friends."

The Supreme Court's decision leaves it up to each state to decide whether or how it may restrict abortion, which resulted in many states immediately outlawing it.

The Pro-choice protest starts at 1pm on July 16th.
