A woman has been charged with allegedly supplying cannabis to high school students in Wairarapa.

Police said in a statement that the Wairarapa community section executed a search warrant at a Greytown address on Wednesday, where a 30-year-old woman was subsequently arrested.

She will appear in court next week charged with possessing cannabis for supply.

Sergeant Richie Day said his team received information from the community and from local organisations regarding the alleged dealing of cannabis to young people.

"This activity is a real concern, and we are very grateful to the community for bringing these issues to us," Sergeant Day said.

"Anyone who causes such harm in our community, especially when it involves young people, we will look to hold them to account."

Sergeant Day urged the public to continue to report suspicious behaviour to them.

"We continue to encourage the community to report anything unusual or suspicious to us," Sergeant Day said.

"You may think your information is inconsequential, but it could be the missing piece that enables us to put together details which lead to a prosecution."
