One person is in a critical condition after a firearms incident in south Auckland.
Emergency services including paramedics were called to Elizabeth Avenue in Papatoetoe just after 9pm on Thursday.
Police have told Newshub an investigation is in its initial stages following the incident.
One person has been transported to hospital in a critical condition.
Cordons and a scene guard will remain in place overnight.
A forensic scene examination will begin tomorrow and no arrests have been made.
