Auckland police have arrested a 17-year-old man in connection with a number of robberies across the super city.

In a statement, a police spokesperson said they are investigating a spate of aggravated robberies at jewellery stores across the city and executed a search warrant at a property in the west Auckland suburb of Henderson.

"During the search, police have located a significant amount of jewellery that is believed to have been stolen from a number of burglaries at Michael Hill Jewellers stores."

The spokesperson said further searches found stolen alcohol, tobacco, a stolen car, a stolen motorbike and cannabis packaged for supply.

The 17-year-old is due to appear in the North Shore court on Wednesday, charged with the aggravated robbery of the Fifth Avenue Jewellers in Takapuna on April 20, aggravated robbery of Michael Hill Takapuna on June 16 and burglary at Super Liquor Sunnybrae on August 9.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the origins of some of the jewellery and further charges are under consideration," the spokesperson said.
