More than 100 New Zealand Defence Force personnel are being recognised for their service during the devastating bushfires in Australia three years ago.
The fires were so catastrophic the smoke reached New Zealand's shores, covering parts of the country in an orange haze.
Two of those being recognised were Staff Sergeant Daniel Klaassen and Lieutenant Bradley Geen and the pair spoke to AM.
