Police have arrested a man in relation to a shooting at the Ōtara shopping centre in south Auckland last month.
On November 7, a man was injured and taken to hospital after allegedly being shot.
On Sunday December 18, police said they arrested a 36-year-old man after the armed offenders squad executed a search warrant at a Manurewa address.
"He has been charged with attempted murder and is due to appear in the Manukau District Court tomorrow," a police spokesperson said in a statement.
The spokesperson also said as the matter is before the courts, police will not be making any further comments at this time.
